One day not long ago, some people were going door to door in my neighborhood on behalf of Apex Elite Roofing, offering to send someone to do a roof inspection. The front half of my roof looked good to me, but because my back yard is steep, I haven't been able to see the roof on the back of my house for several years, so I agreed to let them inspect it for me. Their inspectors showed up at the appointed time and inspected the roof. They took pictures while they were up there. They told me that they did find evidence of storm damage, and they were confident that my insurance would provide a new roof for me. I was skeptical that it would be paid for by my insurance, because the shingles were 32 years old, but they assured me that the storm damage warranted a new roof. They contacted my insurance company on my behalf, and arranged to meet my claims adjuster here at my house. They arrived at the appointed time, and my claims adjuster inspected it with them, and he agreed to replace my roof with my only cost being the amount of my policy deductible. A few days later, the adjuster sent his estimate of what needed to be done, but it did not include the new code upgrades that are now required, including things like a ridge vent. Apex Elite was very knowledgeable about the code requirements, and they handled the correspondence regarding the additional necessities, and the claims adjuster agreed to pay the additional costs. The payments came to me in two checks, with the first being for the damage amount and the second check, which covered the recoverable depreciation, came after the job was finished. Apex Elite accepted the first check and completed the entire job, and waited for the remainder of their payment until after my insurance sent the second check. This meant that I got almost $7,000.00 of roofing and labor for only my $250.00 deductible. They did an extremely professional job, removing all the old roofing and inspecting the underlying decking, and installing the new roofing. The old roofing was hauled away in a dumpster that they provided, and they left absolutely no debris in the yard. I don't normally write reviews, but when I was checking them out before agreeing to use them, I couldn't find many reviews for them. I was hesitant at first to use a company without many reviews, but I took a chance and it paid off. They are a relatively new company, but the people involved have a lot of experience working in this business. I can attest that they are a legitimate company that expertly negotiated with my insurance company, and they showed up and did excellent work. I'm Steve Roman in Smyrna, Georgia, and I'm not affiliated with anyone in this company. I never met any of them until they did this roof replacement for me. I do recommend them: my experience with this company was very good.
